Reading aloud for Gr 3 learners. They enjoy it when their teacher is reading to them
Learners love it when we are reading aloud.
Here we were reading the book about the little red hen. After reading the book, they had to illustrate the story and write a sentence from the point of view of one of the characters.
The sentences that they have written were used in a classroom book and we also used some of their illustrations.
The classroom book was a funny story that they could relate to, because it is something that they have written on their own. It also made it easy for them to read it to each other.
They also had to provide feedback to each others work as to help with language structure, spelling and grammar.
