Creative Shape Art Activities for Preschoolers
Over at PALS Play & Learn School in Hillsborough, New Jersey, they were temporarily closed. However, this did not stop them from sharing their week's project ideas!
For one of the days, they had a very fun creative shape art activity that was all about encouraging students to come up with ideas to do with shapes of different colors and sizes. You can easily do this with your preschool studnets too by following these directions!
Materials Needed
To do this activity you will need:
- Scissors
- Glue
- Different Colors of Construction Paper
- White Paper for Mounting
- Permanent Markers
- Crayons
How to Do the Activity
Before the activity begins, use a permanent marker to make an assortment of shapes that are also different sizes on the construction paper.Start the activity and have students cut the shapes they want out and then assemble them upon the white paper to make an imageHave the studnets glue the images in place as they like.Conclude by having the students color the shapes to finish their image they have created.
