Snow Theme Week in Preschool
At the Elite Education preschool in Gallatin, Tennesse, all of the classrooms enjoyed a snow-themed week!
Different classes did a variety of fun activities from drawing snowmen to activities involving tracing letters and numbers on paper mittens!
They also examined if the number between two other objects was more or less than what surrounded it. As for some of the class-specific activities.
Ms. Sydney’s Class
Everyone in Ms. Sydney's class loved doing a snowflake hop! Ms. Sydney had various paper snowflakes taped-down to the floor and the kids jumped from one to the next.
Mrs. Jess’s Class
Over in Mrs. Jess's classroom, they did a sensory activity where they made snow, followed by making a snowman out of a paper plate plus construction paper, and they traced the design of a snowflake to work on their fine motor skills.
Mrs.Kaitlyn’s Class
The kids in Mrs.Kaitlyn’s class read the fun book, "Sneezy the Snowman," and then created their own, "Melted," snowman out of craft paper as a craft and did a writing activity about it!
Mrs. Krissi’s Class
They also read, "Sneezy the Snowman," in Mrs. Krissi’s class. While reading the book they made predictions about the story, sequenced the events that happened within the story, and after that, they then did a craft where they made a melted snowman!
Mrs. Brittany's Class
Lastly, Mrs. Brittany's class read, "Sneezy the Snowman," as well for this snow-themed week. They sequenced events in the story too and then did a directed drawing of a snowman. The class also painted their own, "Melted," snowmen and wrote a story about what the kids imagined made the snowmen melt!
