Space Painting Activity for Kids
At Good Sheperd School they had someone from the local museum of fine arts visit them and talk about painting. Then they made their own unique and impressive space paintings they displayed at an ice cream social!
Materials Needed for the Space Painting Activity
If you want to make your own space painting you will need the following:
- A large black sheet of paper
- Paint (tempera or acrylic works well)
- Containers to hold the paint
- Paintbrushes
- White sheets of paper
- Construction paper
- Markers/Crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
How to Do the Space Painting Activity
To do the space painting activity follow these steps:
- Lay down your large black sheet of paper.
- Cut differently-sized circles out of the construction paper and white sheets of paper.
- Glue these differently-sized circles to your large black sheet of paper.
- Paint and color on these circles to make them look like unique planets.
- Color and paint on the remaining black space to make little stars with your markers/crayons and paint.
- Wait for the glue and paint to dry and show-off your creation!
