Spanish Game--Practice Numbers to 100
Object: Use laminated boards with numbers 1-100 arranged in order, in squares to practice numbers in math, Spanish (or any foreign language) with this easy, but fun game.
Description: The students are given a board with the numbers 1-100 and an erasable marker, individually or in pairs. The teacher calls out the number, in the native language (for math) or foreign language, for the students to color in. (See "heart" example)
You can do one or two color designs. You can also demo triangular shapes for specific numbers (see "bow tie" example) or half squares (see "gift" example) to increase the simple pictures you can create. The object is to guess the simple image made once all the numbers are given. This can be a learning experience by posting a chart or writing the tens on the chalk or marker board; it can be a quiz by testing what the student already knows in a fun way without external help. Google "pixel art" for ideas.
