Toilet Paper Roll Squid Craft for Preschool Students
At the preschool First Foundation Child Care located in Sugar Land, Texas, they made squids out of toilet paper rolls! It was a very fun craft and was a great way to develop motor skills as they painted and glued parts of their squids. Your class can do it too!
Materials Needed for the Toilet Paper Roll Squid
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Disassembled, "Shreds," of other toilet paper rolls to use as legs
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Glue
- Googly Eyes
- Permanent Marker
Steps to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Squid
Begin by painting the empty toilet paper roll whatever color you like.
Paint the toilet paper roll shreds the same color.
Let the paint dry.
Begin gluing the toilet paper roll shreds onto what will be the bottom of your squid, these are the tentacles!
Glue googly eyes at what will be the top of your squid.
Draw a smile or whatever face you like onto your squid with the permanent marker.
Now you can hang your squid up for all to admire!
