Veterans Day Arts and Crafts for Preschoolers
Veterans Day occurs on November 11th every year. This day was created to honor the men and women who have served in the past in our Nation's armed forces as well as those currently serving.
Seeing as how Veteran's Day happens between two very popular holidays--Halloween and Thanksgiving--sometimes people forget about it and miss the opportunity to thank our Veterans. However, Veterans' Day is a great time to help preschoolers with thinking about the people who serve our country.
One way to incorporate a discussion about Veterans into the classroom is to talk about how the American flag represents the freedom our Veterans protect.
Then, you can do a craft that incorporates the American flag that can then be presented to Veterans on Veterans' Day to show how important they are and how much they are appreciated.
