Wooden Tile Painting Activity
At CJ's Playpen Daycare and Preschool, their little ones enjoyed a painting activity where they made a wooden tile quite colorful with a variety of fun brushes and then got to take it home! The various brushes added a unique sensory element to the delightful art activity.
Materials Needed for the Wooden Tile Painting Activity
To do this activity you will need the following:
- Paint (tempera or acrylic works great)
- A wooden tile (these can be bought in bulk at craft stores)
- A plastic plate
- A placemat or sheet of paper to catch any messes
- Assorted brushes and painting sponges
How to Do the Wooden Tile Painting Activity
To do the wooden tile painting activity follow these steps:
- Lay your wooden tile on the placemat/sheet of paper.
- Gather your assorted brushes and painting sponges.
- Squirt the different colors of paint onto your plastic plate and use it as a palette.
- Start dipping your various brushes and painting sponges in the paint and then spreading it on your tile.
- Keep painting your tile with various brushes and painting sponges until it is fully painted.
- Wait for the paint to dry and display your unique creation!
