Farm animals matching game

This week, we are introducing farm animals. We have talked about the different names of mama animals and their babies. After reading a story, we used a felt board activity to match the pairs. We read Pete the Ca, Ole McDonald had a farm. We even did an animal sounds listening activity to guess the animal sounds at the end of the day. My kids loved getting up and moving around while also learning and building a classroom community. If anyone has any other activities or suggestions on things to add to a farm lesson please let me know for next year. My students loved this week's unit, read-alouds, etc. Our school uses Alpha Skills units and our pre-k gelds standards to complete lesson plans.
