Patriotic Tye Dying for July 4th

At Toddle Inn Daycare, they did some t-shirt tye dying as they geared up for July 4th.

Patriotic colors

To relate the tye dying to July 4th, the students used red and blue along with white shirts to create some gorgeous designs! These colors are patriotic as red, white, and blue are the colors that make up the American flag!

The meaning behind July 4th

The students all learned why July 4th is important. It represents when America declared its independence from the UK. It happened 245 years ago and now we celebrate July 4th every year. The class discussed how Betsy Ross created the American flag with its patriotic colors and shared what being free and, "Independent," meant to them. It was a great July 4th celebration!
