Pirate Fun for the School's Pirate Day
At Rainbow School, the kindergarten class had a pirate day! Everyone loved dressing up and acting like a pirate! they wore pirate-themed clothing, talked like pirates,
played with treasure, and learned all kinds of neat pirate-themed trivia facts.

Here are some interesting facts about pirates you can tell your class for your own Pirate day:
*The skull and crossbones flag on some pirate ships is known as the Jolly Roger.
*Men and women in the past were pirates!
*Pirates did really wear eye patches, but they never actually made anyone, "Walk the plank."
*Pirates did not, in fact, always bury their treasure.
*Pirates did not just attack other ships, they would sometimes raid coastal towns.
*The most famous pirate ever was Edward Teach AKA Blackbeard
