Beating the Out-of-Season Heat with Water Play and Good Hydration
It is unseasonably warm in much of America this week. Record highs are being reached and it is making everyone hot! To help beat the heat they did some water play outside at the Anne Sullivan Preschool and Kindergarten. The children also learned how it is important to stay hydrated with water too!
Playing with water and drinking it too
The students had a lovely time playing with the water and learning about how it is important to drink water (although not the exact water they were sticking their hands in to play with) in order to stay hydrated. It was discussed how on hot days we often sweat and keeping ourselves hydrated is key to not getting dehydrated and feeling sick from a lack of water. Hydration is key in the Summer and strangely hot Fall days!
