The butterflies have different numbers of spots that can be counted which correspond to a number to the right. For example, a butterfly with the number 1 to its right will have one spot and a butterfly with the number 10 will have ten spots total.
There are two sheets that do not have a line to cut with and two sheets with lines that make it so you can cut the cards in half and match the butterflies with the correct number as an additional fun activity to do with the counting!
