Cake Name Activity
I have a student who was obsessed with singing the Happy Birthday song as they were walking around/ working. So I got on Canva and got candle images and put the letters of their name on them. I then put a picture of a cake on a sheet. After I printed it, I cut the pieces out and glued the cake on a piece of cardstock. After I did this, I laminated it all and added some tack it glue to the back of the candles. Now they can "decorate" the cake with the candles to make their name. The photos are of my name and screenshots of the design since I can't put the student's name on here. I hope you enjoy this idea. We have also done a pepperoni pizza version where the letters are on pieces of pepperoni and the student spells their name on the pizza. These activities help with letter recognition and how to spell their names.
