Christmas tree handprints
Each child in our school made a hand print and we made a Christmas Tree for our lobby! We have children ages 2-Kindergarten. Each teacher painted their hands and we made handprints. Connected them all together to make our tree. The presents under the tree are made from construction paper which we cut into different shapes and put a real bow on them. After each hand is placed in the shape of a tree we laminated them so we can keep the tree from year to year.
Every year we put up our old trees from the children we had come through our school to see how we have grown as a school over the years. The older children enjoy looking for their own hand that is on the tree. We start the project after Halloween as to make sure we get every child! We may start a new tradition of doing teacher and aides hands as well to remind us of the great friends that have moved on or left us.
Great new tradition to start for your school. Parents love looking for their child/children handprints year after year.
