Collage birthday
Children will explore the concept of birthdays and celebrations.
They will strengthen fine motor skills by cutting, gluing, and arranging pictures.
They will express creativity and share about themselves and their favorite thing Talk with the children about birthdays — ask: “What do you do on your birthday?” or “What do you eat or wear?”
Give each child a large sheet of paper.
Let them cut and glue birthday pictures (cake, balloons, gifts) or draw their own.
Help them write or dictate: “Happy Birthday to Me!” or their name.
Display their collages on a classroom “Birthday Wall.”
Add a math connection: count the candles or balloons.
Sing “Happy Birthday” in English and other languages.
Make a class birthday book with everyone’s collage pages.
