Do you want an ice cream?
Do you want to build an ice cream?
It is a cool activity kids love and help them to develop their fine motor skills.
You can use color balls, pompons, spoons, tweezers, construction paper, velcro. it is better if you laminate the materials, it is more hygienic, easier to clean and lasts longer.
The students can do the activity in an individual way and develop their likes and dislikes creating fantastic ice creams for them and for their classmates.
They can also use it to practice easy dialogues between the students where one order the ice cream and the other has to prepare it. For instance:
A."Hello. Do you want an ice cream?"
B."Sure. I want two scoops. Can I have a vanilla and strawberry ice cream?
A. "Of course." Here you have.
B. "Thank you. See you soon"
A. "You're welcome. Goodbye."
You can also practice the numbers and colors, while you have to put the correct number of scoops in each ice cream.
