Frog Food and Frog Predator Worksheets For Young Students
These worksheets are focused upon the kinds of food frogs eat and what sort of animals serve as predators for frogs as well. They are fantastic to do with young students who are learning about frogs as part of a unit on them specifically or amphibians in general.
Frog Clothespin Games
These printables can be laminated and then have clothespins attached to the correct images shown upon them. One illustrated, "Frog Food," and needs students to note the correct things frogs eat, and the other has, "Enemies of Frogs," and needs the things that try to eat frogs pinned.
Frog Predators and Food Cards
Frogs, as well as toads, are carnivores. This means they eat other animals. They also have predators themselves that try to eat them such as birds, reptiles, and fish.
These cards have images of animals that frogs both eat and animals that try to eat frogs! Smaller and medium-sized frogs generally eat insects like flies, mosquitoes, dragonflies, and moths. Larger frogs will sometimes eat bigger insects such as grasshoppers, worms, and if a frog is large enough it may eat snakes, mice, young turtles, or even smaller frogs!
These cards are a fantastic item to print out, laminate, and cut up for a discussion of all the things frogs eat and which eat frogs!
Frog Predators and Food Color Sheets
These sheets are in black-and-white so that the things that eat frogs and which frogs eat can be colored-in for fun by young students.
