Grade one poster science
In first grade science, students learn about living things and their basic needs. Living things include plants, animals, and humans. They all need food, water, air, and shelter to live and grow. Plants use sunlight to make their food through a process called photosynthesis. Animals, including humans, need to eat other plants or animals to get their energy. All living things grow and change over time. Students also learn to observe and describe these changes. For example, a seed grows into a plant, and a baby animal grows into an adult. Understanding these concepts helps students appreciate the world around them.
