Nature walk scavenger hunt
I went with my 4 year old students on a beautiful nature walk with these adorable scavenger hunt checklists. I gave every student a crayon and checklist and instructed them to check of the boxes of the items they see. We also collected these items, like pinecones and grass, and attached it to our scavenger hunt sheets. The sheet can be found on Etsy.com. A nature walk encourages the children to use observation skills and to explore their environment. You can customize your list to suit the age group, location and interests of your students. A nature walk is a good way to introduce the Fall, Spring or Summer. A good idea is to explore the area that you want to walk beforehand and than customize your scavenger hunt list to include items that are commonly found in that area.
