Kinders working on an Ocean Theme
Our students created a sensory board using watercolors to paint the background and made different ocean animals out of newspaper, clay, paper plates, pipe cleaners, seashells, and colored sand. We taught them to experiment with different brushstrokes and blending techniques to paint waves, layers of the ocean, coral reefs, and some even took the initiative to paint their own colorful fish.
This project not only allowed students to express themselves artistically but also enhanced their fine motor skills, sensory exploration, and knowledge about the ocean environment.
