Math and Shape Activity for Kindergarten Students
At Sequoia Christian Preschool, they did a fun math and shape activity which was perfect for children at the Kindergarten-level. By using blocks a bunch of neat designs were created by the kiddos. They counted up the corners of their shapes and made designs out of the shapes by following the guidelines on handouts. It was great fun!
Creating Neat Designs
The children had a great time looking at the shapes displayed on their handouts and then using their own blocks to create the design they saw. After creating the modeled designs the students then would count how many corners in total there were upon the resulting letter A, rocketship, fish, or whatever else they created by putting all their shapes together!
