My pre-k class learning the letter w
y 3 year olds love learning their letters. Last week we were learning about the letter w. We did several art projects. Here are three of the art projects we did. They put together the whale on their own gluing the peices all by themselves. The tissue paper part was their favorite part. We create letter books that they can color, letter papers so they can trace the upper case and lower case letter w. We made a spider web and they choose to paint it with glitter glue. The watermelon they got to glue it together and then glue on the seeds by themselves. We also go through our alphabet twice a day and our numbers one through 20. Last week our number was 12. The children got to do glue 12 buttons around the number 12. Find the number 12 worksheet. Trace the number 12. Count 12 pom poms using tweezers. We do two letter projects a day and two number projects a day. I find that doing this the children learn and memorize the letter and number quickly.
