New Year Party at School
This is the first week of the new year and they rang in 2022 with a party at Small Steps Childcare and Preschool!
Ringing in the new year!
The class counted down to noon to simulate how people counted down to midnight on December 31st. The kiddos wore hats and had noisemakers too. The children excelled at practicing their counting skills as they went, "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, happy new year!" After the new year was celebrated, the class sat down for lunch and discussed what their goals were for 2022 over their meal. Some kiddos made resolutions to go to be earlier, others said they would continue learning to read and count. It was so much fun for everyone to celebrate the new year during this first week of January!
