Recreating, Van Gogh's Paintings, "Starry Night," and, "Sunflowers," as a Craft
At Wonderland School, they learned all about Vincent Van Gogh. In honor of Van Gogh, the students recreated two of his famous paintings--but as a twist, they did it with construction paper! The kiddos made, "Starry Night," and, "Sunflowers," with their construction paper pieces and did a fantastic job!
Starry Night
Starry Night is, of course, famous for its beautiful imagery of clouds with stars poking through the night sky. The kiddos made their own version with black construction paper as a canvas along with blue and yellow construction paper serving as the clouds and stars. Their interpretations were incredible as you can see below:
Everyone was so creative with their, "Starry Night," versions!
Sunflowers
Another Van Gogh masterpiece was, "Sunflowers." To make this quiet still-life the kiddos used a black piece of construction paper as the canvas and then cut-out yellow and green pieces of construction paper to assemble their own sunflowers. The final result was gorgeous:
These children made some beautiful artwork!
