Reindeer Papercraft for Kids and Reindeer Facts
At Kid City USA (Palm Coast, they did a delightful papercraft where they made reindeer! The kids had a ball assembling different pieces of construction paper to create their own reindeer. Some used red for the nose to create Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer! While doing this papercraft, the kids all learned fun facts about reindeer as well!

Here are some interesting facts about reindeer you can share with your students when doing a reindeer-themed craft:
*Boy and girl reindeer both grow antlers.
*North American reindeer are also called caribou.
*Boy reindeer can weigh up to over 500 pounds!
*Reindeer are herbivores and only eat vegetation/plants.
*Reindeer's noses warm up the air before it gets to their lungs.
*A reindeer's entire body including its hooves is covered with fur.
*Reindeer can run up to 50 miles per hour (that's 80 kilometers).
