Rocks (found in nature or bought at a craft store)
Paint (tempera or acrylic works well)
Paper plate
Paintbrush
Cup of water (for washing-off your paintbrush)
How to do the rocks painting activity
To do this activity follow these steps:
Go out in nature and find rocks you think would be good to paint. Bring these rocks home and wash them off/clean them. If you bought your rocks from a craft store skip this step.
Squirt the paint colors you want to use onto your paper plate.
Begin painting your rock with various colors, a fun design, or whatever you want.
Paint more rocks--as many as you would like!
Once you are done wait for your paint to dry and then display your painted rocks proudly!
