Counting and Studying Patterns With Rocks and Corks
At Club Pure Preschool, they did a fun activity that involved utilizing their pattern recognition skills, counting abilities, and was stellar for fine motor skill development. They took a box full of colorful assorted rocks as well as old corks and had a great time organizing them.
Counting and sorting
The kids loved feeling the unique textures of the rocks and corks as they examined them and sorted them out by design, color, shape, or whatever else they wanted to examine. The rocks were smooth and pointed whereas the corks were a little bumpy and quite an interesting texture to handle. All the children were intrigued by the rocks and corks, they were really having a lovely time playing with them.
