Shredded Paper Sensory Bin
To make a sensory bin you don't have to have a ton of fancy toys or worry about getting wet with water, you can make a sensory bin out something as simple as shredded paper! That's what they did at E91 Early Learning Full-Day Care and Preschool and all the kids loved it!
Making a shredded paper sensory bin
To make a shredded paper sensory bin you simply need a tub/bin and a bunch of paper to shred up--it is as simple as that! To make it even more engaging for young children you can also do the following:
*Use paper with different textures in your sensory bin to make it extra engaging--crepe paper, construction paper, etc.
*Use paper with fun cartoon character or comic-book character images to keep the attention of young children
*Use paper with words and text on it so children can read the words of the paper they are playing with.
*Talk about the importance of recycling and when the children are done playing with the paper have them put it in a recycling bin to help protect the environment.
