Read Ten Apples Up on Top book
I had already taken pictures of my students. secured them with glue stick at bottom of page.
I made the small circles on left side and numbered one thru ten.
I had an example of the completed picture that children could use.
Kids colored in on their paper by ABC pattern (colors of apples).
Next to each Apple, each child picked the correct color that coordinated with their circle number, and dabbed the circles while counting out loud.
To make this activity more difficult, students can color the apples making their own ABC pattern, and write their own numbers in blank apples. Then dab circles across.
Another version could be to write the number word in each apple. If no photos used, students can draw their head balancing the apples up on top.
The student really enjoys this, learn a lot, and love seeing their head balancing 10 apples up on top.
