These preschoolers enjoy hands-on activities, games, and crafts. They are learning the letters of the alphabet and making crafts that go with each letter. After we read a book together about a silly monster for the letter Mm, they made their own pretend monsters by coloring the monster body parts with markers, then using scissors to cut out the pieces and glue sticks to attach the pieces to construction paper. They were very proud of their hard work. This activity helped them develop their fine motor skills as well as allowing them to use their imagination to create something fun and meaningful. The next day, we read another book about a different monster and did another monster craft, which they also enjoyed.
