Turkeys in Disguise and Family Turkey Projects for School
When it is Thanksgiving almost everyone eats turkey. With that in mind, a lot of turkeys might want to disguise themselves to avoid being dinner!

Disguise a Turkey
At Herkimer Central School District in Mrs. Kuyrkendall’s first-grade class every student was given their own turkey and got to, "Disguise," it as another person or thing so that the turkeys can avoid being put on someone's Thanksgiving table!
Just some of the great ideas this class did which you could have your preschoolers try too include but are not limited to:
- Ballerina
- Gumball Machine
- Mermaid
- Nutcracker Doll
- Police Officer
- Musician
- Leprechaun
- Princess
- Firefighter
- Magician
- Lion
- And more!
Family Turkey Project
Another fun turkey project that a whole preschoolers family can do involves the student taking home a turkey template and then making it look however they like with their family along with filling-out a note at the bottom about what they are thankful for. Families can color turkeys, put decorations on it, pictures, and whatever else they like--it is all about what the preschool student and their family want to do so that they have their own beautiful and unique family turkey. At Hope D Wall School a wide-range of ideas were done for sure and your students will only be limited by their own creativity!
