Feed the Animals Printable Activity

The "Feed the Animals" activity is Perfect for small group activities, circle time, or even individual use during center time, this activity is sure to be a hit with young learners.

To begin, print out the template farm animals for feeding. The set includes a hungry goat, pig, horse, cow, chicken, and sheep. Once printed, laminate the farm animals and cut them out, including the mouth. Next, stick each animal to a cup using tape or glue.

Once your farm animals are ready, it's time to set up the activity. Place the animals on a tuff tray or similar surface alongside a bowl of dried chickpeas or rice and some scoops. For added educational value, you can use little cards to indicate how many scoops of feed each animal needs.

Use the circle and a rotating paperclip arrow in the center of the circle to select which animal to feed. And use a dice with numbers 1 to 3 to determine the amount of scoops required for the animal.

During the activity, students will take turns "feeding" each animal by scooping the appropriate amount of feed into their cup. This not only helps to develop fine motor skills, but also reinforces counting and number recognition.

Overall, the "Feed the Animals" activity is a fun and engaging way to reinforce farm animal vocabulary and concepts while promoting hands-on learning. So what are you waiting for? Give this activity a try and watch as your students enjoy feeding their new furry friends!
