Pretend Milking a cow for farm animal week
For farm week we learned about about different animals that live on the farm as well as what foods we get from farms. Something that is always a big hit with my class of 2 year olds is pretending to milk a cow. I made the cow out of a cardboard box and then filled gloves with water to hang as the udders. I poked a small hole in a few of the fingers so the water would come out but not pour out and they all got turns “milking” the cow. You may have to help them learn that they need to squeeze it to get the “milk” out! Plastic trash bags work well to put underneath to catch any water drips and use a bucket or Tupperware to milk the cow into.
