Question of the Day
We ask a question each day for a variety of reasons in PreK. To help students understand they have to respond to the actual question and to help them see that everyone does not have to have the same answer all the time. Sometimes we all have the same response and sometimes we do not and that is ok. When we do the letter of the day the question is Does your name have the letter.? This helps with name recognition, visual discrimination of the letters, and based on facts/evidence not opinion. We also have polls like the one taken right from our cafeteria options. Again students had to find their name on the label but could only make one choice and we emphasized no choices were wrong.
