Animal Teeth and Animal Reports

Animal Teeth and Animal Reports

During Dental Health month (February) we read the book If I Had Animal Teeth and each student chooses an animal and learn about their teeth to make a 1 page report.

After finishing with the teeth book we move on to the other animal parts stories (eyes, nose, tail,.)

Animals are a huge part of first grade science so after all the books we can dive right into habitats and adaptations to those habitats.

We also do animal reports in January so that each after all students research their animal and report on it we have learned about at least 20 different animals. The students favorite part is learning an interesting fact about each of the animals from their peers.
