Drawing Pumpkins
Place 2 pumpkins in the center of the table. Allow your students to explore touch, smell, look at each pumpkin. Then put pumpkins away and ask your students to draw what they remember about the pumpkins.
Materials:
2 small pumpkins
Crayons or markers
A sheet of paper for each student.
You can also ask the students a few questions while they draw.
What color was the pumpkin?
What did it feel like?
Was it smooth or rough?
What shape was the pumpkin?
What did it smell like?
Was it big or small?
How many pumpkins were there?
Have you been to a pumpkin patch?
What does your pumpkin look like at home?
This can also be done with paint at the tables or individually on an easel.
