Kindness theme week
For this week the daycare kids and I talked about different ways to be kind. We read books, sang songs (favorite was "sparkle" by the learning station) and did some various activities. I set up a kindness chart so whenever a child did an act of kindness they got to colour in a heart. When we get too the big heart we get too so a kindness egg hunt!
The kids all learned what it means to be kind and really enjoyed the pictures and small art in the printables. Kindness is so very important for kids this age to learn. I am hoping by learning these skills at a young age they will head into school with a positive attitude. Confident and happy kids make for great leaders. I loved how proud they were of their finished sorting activities and how much fun they had. They were all very curious about how they can too be kind to one another
