Lines with Straws

Lines with Straws

This is for beginner students or students who need practice with fine motor skill practice, no matter the age.

1. stretch the straw

2. cut the straw into sections

3. place on the matching colors, while naming the line direction

Students can do this project with any object that is straight. The cutting is good for practice, and motor skill development.

The straws may need more glue than usual, but kids like glue!

The kids can also make the lines as instructed during class. They can be colors matching whatever object you choose.

Optional objects: toothpicks, pipe cleaners

Optional non glue practice: Wix Sticks
