Multimedia Portrait Craft
At City Kids, they made multimedia portraits that incorporated markers as well as hay, string, and yarn.
Beautiful portraits
The students made some unique and beautiful portraits for this activity! Some of them looked in a mirror or referred to a picture of themselves to try and make the most accurate portrait possible of themselves. The students drew with their markers and then after they felt they were done drawing they used the multimedia items--hay, string, and/or yarn--to create their hair in a manner they felt looked the most realistic. The final result was amazing to see and the students were incredibly proud of their multimedia portraits. You can easily do an activity like this in your classroom by simply having some markers and other craft supplies along with glue!
