My Reading Class

This has been the most challenging reading tutorial class I have ever had. He was in the first grade when the pandemic struck. As a result, he needed to study online. His parents were busy during that time hence he studied with little supervision. Online classes were enforced here in our country for two years. Sadly his teacher moved him up to the next level without assessing his academic abilities. When face to face classes had been imposed that's when reality hit them. He wasn't able to read. Teaching a third grader how to read with little background is not a walk in the park. In addition, this kid and I have a serious love and hate relationship, but seeing him gradually learning makes me appreciate my chosen path even more.

This only goes to show that progress no matter how little adds up to big results.
