O is for Octopus Craft
At Messy Monkeys Learning Academy, they were learning about letters and got to the letter O. It was discussed how words such as octopus start with that letter, and children made their own O-shaped octopi for fun!
Materials needed for the octopus craft
To do this craft you will need:
*Two pieces of pink construction paper (or any other color you like)
*A piece of white paper
*A piece of black construction paper
*Scissors
*Glue
How to do the octopus craft
To do this craft follow these steps:
1. Take one piece of pink construction paper and cut a very large circle out of it.
2. Cut a big hole in your circle so that it looks like a large O.
3. Take your other piece of pink construction paper and cut out eight strips of paper.
4. Accordion-fold each of the eight strips.
5. Glue the eight strips to your letter O, these will be the octopus legs.
6. Cut two small circles out of your white paper.
7. Cut two very small circles out of your black construction paper.
8. Glue the white paper circles where you want the octopus' eyes to be and then glue the black very small circles into the white circles.
9. Wait for the glue to dry and you O-shaped octopus is done!
