Our Day as the Lorax

Our Day as the Lorax

We read the Lorax by Dr. Suess around Earth Day as part of our unit. After reading the book we talked about how around our school and house we could be like just like the Lorax. The kids all wore their Lorax mustaches to share what they could do to help our school yard and their homes stay nice and clean for the animals and the trees. Most shared we can not cut down the trees as that is what the onceler did in the story. Many also shared we should not throw our trash on the ground. They loved being able to look like the Lorax in the classroom. This was a fun way for them to share without being them sharing their ideas with the class.
