Outer Space-Themed Activities for Preschool Students
At Mother Goose Early Learning Campus in Hiawatha, Iowa, the Pre-K teachers worked extremely hard to enhance their classrooms for a space theme the class did! Everything came together wonderfully and allowed the students to learn all about space and pretend to explore it!
Star Door Decoration
Before even entering the classroom there door decoration had all the students' names as stars!
Space Station Dramatic Play Area
The students could engage in dramatic play, pretending to work and live on a space station! They pretended to study space by examining moon rocks, building space-related objects, and examining graphs of the solar system!
Space-Themed Sensory Bin
There was also a sensory bin theme for space exploration, full of lettered planets, satellites, and spaceships!
Telescope Studying
All of the kids loved looking-through telescopes to see what far-away objects looked a lot closer once they peered through the lenses. It was a really neat way to learn about how telescopes help us view planets!
