The World Under My Feet - Roots!
I am a Grade R teacher in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. There are amazing photos on this site about a new theme we are trying out this term called "The World under my Feet. I will post pictures of our art as we discover and create when the term begins shortly! There are so many practical ways of discovering new things and learning new vocabulary as we explore this theme, and we plan to develop a little recipe book of everything we have decided to cook as a class using only root vegetables! Science experiments using the tops of vegetables like carrots will also be part of our new experience and hopefully keep our children highly motivated and entertained whilst they learn! I will keep you posted!
