Crafting Up Some Hot Chocolate!

At The Gordon School, they had been discussing cooking and did a project the students could help with--making hot chocolate! Crafting up some hot chocolate encouraged the kiddos' skills in math, literacy, and sequencing in addition to promoting teamwork.

Making hot chocolate

The children measured out milk (which the teachers heated) and poured the correct amount of chocolate sauce in a bowl as well. When it was time, they mixed everything together to create the hot chocolate! Then, everyone added marshmallows to their drinks and had a great time sipping on their hot chocolate. The class discussed how it was fun to measure and mix everything to craft their tasty treat--a nice drink for all the cold weather!
