English Teacher in Japan
I'm an English teacher based in Japan. My husband and I run a small school with a unique children's after school program which teaches English in combination with STEAM activities.We love what we do and all our students are enthusiastic about coming to class because they are motivated by the simple, fun activities we plan that inspire their imaginations, creativity, and problem solving skills. In addition we also teach preschoolers who are developing the building blocks for their future English language skills. This is what attracted me to teachersmag.com! Here are a couple of examples of what we do: the first is a straw propellor, made according to instructions from Mr. Arvind Gupta's Toys from Trash website (he is fantastic, and DIY black lights which we used to light up drawings made with highlighter markers!
