Finger painted trees

Hello! We made these lovely cards for Valentines day :! This activity was well suited for my first graders, but could work from K-3rd I'm sure.

1. Fold thick A4 paper in half, to create a card. Make sure the students fold in the right direction.

2. Use gouache colors and a brush to paint the stem in brown.

3. Allow to dry for a little bit.

4. Choose a few colors and use a finger to add "leaves" to the tree. (This can be done in different shapes, for example a heart or circle).

5. Allow to dry and add a sweet message inside. Check for names.
