Having a Week All About Bugs!
At New Day Preschool, they had a week where the focus was all about bugs! Whether learning about bugs, studying (pretend) insects, or doing other fun bug-related activities, the students had a fantastic week!
Examining faux-bugs
Some kiddos studied toy bugs with various tools and noted down interesting facts about the insects such as if they had wings, stingers, and so forth.
Bug painting
The students loved painting some of the toy bugs in various bright and exciting colors.
Bug traps
Some of the little ones tried to extract the plastic bugs from, "Bug trap," puzzles with assorted crisscrossing strings.
Spiders and why they aren't bugs/insects
Everyone also learned how spiders are in fact not insects. They are arachnids. This is due to a variety of factors including how they have eight legs. It was cool to learn and part of a super week!
