Having Fun in a Portable Planetarium
At San Clemente Preschool, they booked a portable planetarium that came to the school. The children went inside of it and loved watching the stars and learning all the constellations!
Seeing the stars
The kiddos all sat down inside the planetarium and watched as it showed simulated stars that popped up into view and traced all the major constellations. There are many traditional Western constellations and the students were excited to see ones like the Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, Orion, Draco, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Cygnus, and all the astrological signs that we often hear about (e.g. Gemini, Capricorn, Sagittarius, and so forth). You can book a portable planetarium to come to your school sometime and have lots of fun with your students too!
